About Fort Mill
Fort Mill is the fastest-growing municipality in the fastest-growing county in South Carolina. The Fort Mill planning area grew from 19,970 residents in 2000 to 27,736 residents in 2006, representing a growth rate 38.9%. During the same period, the population of the Charlotte metro area as a whole grew at a rate of 18.1%.
It's anticipated that by 2027, as many as 69,575 people could live in the Fort Mill planning area.

God has blessed theGathering with numerical and spiritual growth. We believe that God is calling us to extend theGathering in order to grow His kingdom in the Charlotte area. We are convinced that Fort Mill is fertile soil prepared by God for the first church planting mission of theGathering and that now is the time to establish a new community of Christ-followers called theGathering fort mill.
theGathering fort mill will share the mission, vision, and values that are the foundation of theGathering, rooted in and growing out of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. The launch team will be led by the pastoral team of Derrick Bucy and Scott Morrison.
